'The Chapters of Our Lives' and 'The Story Continues' (commissioned by the National Memorial Arboretum) are interactive exhibitions I curated that highlighted the lives of Icylin, her sister, and their friends, who immigrated to the UK from the Caribbean in the early 1960s.
Building on the success of these exhibitions, this book (created with support from The National Lottery Fund) continues Icy’s story, sharing her experiences of marriage, work, gardening, and cooking. The chapters that follow explore their relationships and challenges they faced after arriving in the UK from the Caribbean in the early 1960's.
